Excursion to Hisrey Island followed by a visit to Lake Myvatn

Super Jeeps, unique to Iceland, will be your mode of transportation for this unforgettable discovery day! These vehicles are equipped with all the mechanical and technical equipment you’ll need for this safari: GPS orientation system and radio communication (the jeeps are set to the same radio frequency) allowing the cars to stay connected with each other; enabling participants to share their emotions. The guide, who will be in one of the Jeeps, will thus be heard by the entire group. Thanks to these Jeeps, you will be able to cross rivers, navigate rocky terrains, get up close to glaciers, in short, venture off the beaten path.

During this journey, you will have the opportunity to meet local producers, farmers, fishermen. They will share with you their knowledge on Icelandic gastronomy and traditions. You will have the chance to taste some local products. We will then sail to Hrisey Island to enjoy a fresh fish tasting.

After that, we will head towards Lake Myvatn to explore the baths: relaxing waters amidst clouds of steam and a luxury bath in a thermal water pool with depths of up to 2,500 meters. The water contains a unique mix of minerals and silicates. The soothing warm waters of these baths are beneficial for both skin and mind, creating a sense of well-being and leaving you with an unforgettable memory of your visit.

The facilities include a reception hall, a cafeteria, changing rooms and showers accommodating up to 120 people, three natural steam baths that can accommodate up to 50 bathers at a time, and a 5,000m² outdoor geothermal swimming pool maintained at a temperature ranging between 38 and 40 ºC.
