Organize a team building offsite in Amsterdam

Dubbed the Dutch Venice, Amsterdam perfectly plays its role as a bridge between past and future. A few hours of flight are enough to arrive in the Dutch capital. Your teams will have the opportunity to discover the hidden aspects of this welcoming city. In short, Amsterdam offers the ideal setting for a corporate trip that leaves a lasting impression.

Amsterdam is certainly not a capital like its counterparts in Europe and around the world. Indeed, it is a major financial center in Europe, and it is therefore normal for us to frequently organize corporate retreats there. But beyond the clichés, the Venice of the North will allow participants to discover a city that is both mysterious and friendly. It can indeed be said that Amsterdam is a work of art and at the same time an open-air museum.

Why organize
a team retreat in Amsterdam

The stage is set for an offsite that ventures off the beaten path

We are accustomed to organizing corporate retreats and team-building activities in the world’s major cities. Yet, we always feel a particular emotion when setting up a team retreat in Amsterdam! Indeed, the capital of the Netherlands exudes a special atmosphere that we want to introduce to your team through the activities we organize. This includes, for example, cruises on one of the 165 canals that surround the city of Amsterdam. Participants can stroll along the tree-lined Prinsengracht canal where houseboats line its banks. It is also possible to bike through the city’s emblematic neighborhoods, like the Jordaan and Pijp districts. But Amsterdam is also renowned for its cultural richness. Thus, the corporate trip participants will certainly have the opportunity to visit some of the city’s museums. Notably, the Van Gogh Museum displays 500 drawings, 220 paintings, and over 800 letters from the famous Dutch painter. Those passionate about modern and contemporary art can make a detour to the Moco Museum. There, they can discover works by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Banksy, and Keith Haring. Lesser-known, the Heineken Museum will certainly interest beer enthusiasts!

Is your team ready to experience Amsterdam?

Your colleagues will definitely have intense moments while exploring the lively streets of the North’s Venice. Starting with a visit to the famous red-light district which will spice up your corporate retreat in Amsterdam. Bars and coffee shops are the main attractions of the Red Light District, despite its infamous reputation. But did you know it’s the city’s oldest district? You can also visit the Oude Kerk, a church founded in 1306, and the museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder, a former clandestine church located in the attic of a house. Organizing your corporate trip to Amsterdam will also allow participants to discover the local population’s lifestyle. For instance, they can head to Albert Cuypmarkt where around 250 stalls await. It’s the perfect time to buy souvenirs like shoes, cheese, clothing, local food, and more. You can also take them to Bloenmenmarkt along the Singel. This flower market offers the chance to discover and possibly purchase various tulip varieties. For those interested in tasting and buying cheese, head to Reypenaer. Lastly, why not take a selfie in front of a windmill? There are 8 still standing in the city. The most famous of these is De Gooyer mill. You can take the opportunity to taste beer brewed by a local craft brewery right next door.
