Massimo Bottura, Chef Patron of the Osteria Francescana, a Michelin three-star restaurant and winner of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and 2018, has opened the doors of the guest house named after his mother, where you can relax among art, nature, traditional, and Michelin-starred cuisine!

Francescana at Maria Luigia is an exciting new dining experience created by chef Massimo Bottura, a Michelin three-star. Located in Casa Maria Luigia, the Bottura family’s lovingly restored Italian country house now open to the public. This experience offers a tasting menu from Osteria Francescana featuring iconic dishes of the famous Modena restaurant in a unique setting. Three communal tables host guests to share an intimate and unique experience in one of the world’s most renowned kitchens. It’s also possible to organize a barbecue brunch lunch in the garden. Even the entrance to this place is spectacular: after heading down what seems like an endless driveway, you arrive at a cast-iron gate. Walk through it and prepare to be amazed: a 19th-century Italian villa with two oversized ice cream cones on its balconies welcomes you. Yes, this is no ordinary inn.

Rest assured, there is nothing conventional about this place. On the contrary, Lara and Massimo are wonderfully friendly people who strive to make their guests happy. Hosts who primarily cherish authenticity, the Dolce Vita, and… organic products from the garden and the area. Lara and Massimo both successfully adhere to the creed: you must not bore your audience. This applies perfectly to the 9-course menu offered in the evening. Enjoy it while sitting under the famous Damian Hirst paintings, “The Last Supper”. We can stop for lunch with up to 50 people in the gardens of Casa Maria Luigia. It is also possible to stay there. With 12 Suites, Casa Maria Luigia can accommodate up to 24 people.
