According to Greek mythology, the building was designed by the Athenian architect and mathematician Daedalus. This palace was the home of King Minos, a legendary king of Crete, son of Zeus. In Greek mythology, it’s in the labyrinth of Knossos that the Minotaur lived, a creature half-man, half-bull.
