Located five kilometers southeast of Heraklion, to the west of the River Kairatos, the Palace of Knossos is an archaeological site. According to Greek mythology, the building was designed by the Athenian architect and mathematician Daedalus. This palace was the home of King Minos, a legendary king of Crete, son of Zeus. In Greek mythology, it’s in the labyrinth of Knossos that the Minotaur lived, a creature half-man, half-bull. Thus, you will visit the Palace of Knossos in Crete and will be accompanied by your French-speaking guide.
