Bayonne Festival
A group of friends was inspired by Pampelune’s “Sanfermines” and decided to create the Fêtes de Bayonne. The festival committee at that time validated the project and entrusted its organization to this group of friends. The idea was to accompany the celebration of the national holiday on July 14. The first Fêtes de Bayonne took place on Wednesday, July 13, 1932. Since that date, every year for five days, the city transforms into the capital of the party. This eagerly anticipated event is, to this day, one of the most popular festive gatherings in the region! Once dressed in your white outfit and red scarf, you are ready to experience this exceptional adventure! On the agenda: concerts, tastings, the Festaye run, flower parades, a chili pepper championship, a car contest, shows, Basque pelota games, and of course, the famous bull runs in the streets of Petit Bayonne. You won’t have time to get bored! The Fêtes de Bayonne are the best opportunity for your collaborators to learn more about the city’s traditions and discover all its unique and magical specifics.
